Tej Pratap Yadav in Bihar Election 2025

A major development has come to light in Bihar's most famous political family. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has expelled his elder son Tej Pratap Yadav from the party. Tej Pratap Yadav, who has become a popular face on social media, is now politically isolated as well. In such a situation, all eyes are on his next move in the 2025 Bihar assembly elections.

Did not get favorite seat in 2020

In the 2020 elections, against the wishes of Tej Pratap Yadav, he got a ticket from Hasanpur assembly seat in Samastipur district. He wanted to contest from Mahua seat, but the party did not field him from there. Despite this, Tej Pratap won from Hasanpur seat and became MLA.

Tej Pratap Yadav got 80,991 votes in Hasanpur seat, while Janata Dal United (JDU)'s Raj Kumar Rai had to be content with 59,852 votes. In this election, Manish Kumar of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) got 8,797 votes, and Pappu Yadav's Jan Adhikar Party got 9,882 votes. That is, due to the division in the opposition, Tej Pratap won.

There was a tussle over Mahua seat

Even though Tej Pratap won from Hasanpur in 2020, his heart was set on the Mahua seat. This is the reason that even before the 2025 elections, he started a public relations campaign in Mahua and announced that he will contest from here this time.

Mahua assembly constituency comes in Vaishali district, from where Tejashwi Yadav is an MLA from Raghopur seat. At the same time, RJD's Mukesh Kumar Roshan is the current MLA from Mahua seat, who got 62,747 votes in 2020. At that time, JDU's Ashma Parveen got 48,977 votes, and LJP got 25,198 votes, which directly helped RJD.

Tej Pratap Yadav's political future in limbo

After Tej Pratap Yadav was expelled from the party, the biggest question now is that from which party and which seat will he contest in Bihar Election 2025? Will he become an independent candidate or form a new party?

If sources are to be believed, Tej Pratap has still made up his mind to contest from Mahua seat, but after his expulsion from RJD, the current MLA from there must have got relief. However, if Tej Pratap enters the fray, the contest will be very interesting.

Questions on Tejashwi Yadav's role

Tejashwi Yadav's role is also in discussion behind the expulsion of Tej Pratap Yadav from the party and family. Many political analysts believe that this decision of Lalu Yadav has been taken regarding the ongoing tussle within the family and the image of the party. Controversies in Tej Pratap's personal life, viral videos, and rhetoric on social media also created an atmosphere against him.

Will a new party be formed? Or will he fight as an independent?

Tej Pratap Yadav now has only two options – either he forms a new party or contests independently. It will not be easy to contest elections without organized support and a strong worker network.

However, Tej Pratap's popularity among the youth, strong hold on social media, and being the center of discussion in the media can be beneficial for him. If he adopts the right strategy in time, he can once again make his mark in politics in 2025.

🔍 Conclusion: Tej Pratap Yadav's challenging path

The picture that is emerging regarding Tej Pratap Yadav in Bihar Election 2025 is not easy for him. Amidst expulsion from the party, confusion over the seat, and family differences, everyone's eyes are on his next move. Will he be able to become an MLA again or will this election prove to be the last chapter of his political career? Only time will tell.
