Political activity has intensified for Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. In this episode, a big announcement has come out for Ghosi Vidhan Sabha Election 2025. Former minister Tej Pratap Yadav has declared Jai Prakash Yadav alias Gandhi Yadav as his official candidate from Ghosi assembly seat of Jehanabad district. Tej Pratap shared this information on social media platform 'X' on 12 August 2025.

Formed a new party after separating from Lalu Prasad Yadav

Tej Pratap Yadav, who is the elder son of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, was in the headlines recently. Actually, Lalu Prasad Yadav had expelled him from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). After this, Tej Pratap announced the new party 'Team Tej Pratap' with an alliance of five parties.

Gandhi Yadav joins 'Team Tej Pratap'

According to sources, on August 12, 2025, Jai Prakash Yadav alias Gandhi Yadav joined 'Team Tej Pratap' along with hundreds of his supporters. Soon after joining, Tej Pratap declared him as the candidate for Ghosi Vidhan Sabha Election 2025. Tej Pratap said,

"Gandhi Yadav has strong public support and is willing to contest from Ghosi, so the party decided to make him the candidate."

Candidates also decided from Shahpur and Mahua seats

According to the Times of India report, Tej Pratap Yadav had earlier nominated Madan Yadav from Shahpur assembly seat in Bhojpur district on August 2, 2025. At the same time, Tej Pratap himself has announced to contest from Mahua assembly seat in Vaishali district.

Tej Pratap Yadav's new party 'Team Tej Pratap' includes a total of five parties:

• Pradeep Nishad's Vikas Vanchit Insaan Party (VVIP)

• Bhojpuria Jan Morcha (BJM)

• Pragatisheel Janata Party (PJP)

• Wajib Adhikar Party (WEP)

• Samyukta Kisan Vikas Party (SKVP)
