According to the Election Commission, the Bihar Vidhan Sabha Chunav 2025 dates have been officially announced and will be held in two phases. The first phase will be held on 6 November 2025, and the second phase on 11 November 2025. The Bihar Vidhan Sabha Chunav 2025 results will be declared on November 14, 2025.
With this announcement, the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect in the state. The current term of the Bihar Legislative Assembly is set to expire on November 22, 2025, so the Election Commission has announced the election schedule in time.
Bihar Vidhan Sabha Chunav Dates 2025: Preparations for Two-Phase Voting
Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar informed that this time, voting in Bihar will be held in two phases. The Commission has implemented several new measures to make the voting process more transparent and accessible.
This time, approximately 74.1 million voters will exercise their franchise. Voters over the age of 80 and those with disabilities will be provided the option to vote from home.
Each polling booth will accommodate an average of 818 voters to avoid crowding and chaos. Furthermore, color photographs of candidates will be placed on EVM machines to facilitate voter identification.

Bihar Assembly Chunav 2025: Election Commission's Special Preparations
The Chief Election Commissioner stated that this time the Election Commission will enter the fray with 17 new initiatives. These include initiatives such as Voter Facilitation Centers, Disabled Assistance Services, booth-level purification, and strict legal action against those spreading rumors on social media.
He also stated that the voter list has been completely purified after 22 years. Its purpose is to ensure that every vote is valid and there is no fraudulent voting.
