RJD Candidate List 2025: RJD cuts tickets of 31 MLAs, prioritizes Kushwaha and Vaishya castes
Bihar Election RJD Candidate List 2025
Ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has released its list of candidates. The party has taken a major decision this time, canceling the tickets of 31 MLAs. Furthermore, candidates from the Kushwaha and Vaishya communities have been given special priority. This decision has caused dissatisfaction among many old leaders.
The RJD aims to secure an absolute majority in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Party chief Tejashwi Prasad Yadav has stated that this time the RJD will contest with a balanced caste equation.
RJD begins election preparations
On Monday, the RJD released its final list of 143 candidates.
This time, the party has fielded three fewer candidates than in the 2020 assembly elections. Of the 76 MLAs who won in 2020, 31 have not been given tickets.
While maintaining its traditional "MY equation" (Muslim-Yadav), the RJD has also given a significant share to the Kushwaha community this time.
