In Bihar Elections 2025, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is preparing to give a message of its strong unity in a new way. This time the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United) (JDU) will jointly release a manifesto (BJP-JDU Manifesto). The NDA includes a total of five allies – BJP, JDU, LJP (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Manch (RLM).
Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 Update: NDA's big strategy
According to the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 Update, this time the NDA has organized joint programs from booth level to assembly constituency. Now the plan to release a joint manifesto will give a direct message of the strength of the alliance. If sources are to be believed, BJP and JDU will present the roadmap of the Nitish Kumar-led government for the coming five years in a single document.
Separate manifestos were issued in 2020
In the 2020 assembly elections, BJP and JDU had issued separate manifestos even while being in alliance.
-
BJP's Sankalp Patra (22 October 2020): Promises of free COVID vaccination, 19 lakh jobs, 33% reservation for women and 5 lakh crore investment.
-
JDU's Saat Nischay Yojana Part-2: Emphasis on water, road, electricity, education and health.
But this time both the parties have changed the strategy and agreed to issue a joint document.
Focus on the theme 'Developed Bihar for Developed India'
According to sources, this time the BJP-JDU Manifesto will be based on the theme of 'Developed Bihar for Developed India'. These issues will be given prominence in this:
-
Promoting employment and investment for youth
-
Incentives and reservation for women
-
Social welfare schemes
-
Participation of women in panchayat elections
-
Development of infrastructure and education-health sector
BJP-JDU's new election strategy
This time in Bihar Elections 2025, BJP is avoiding appointing a traditional election in-charge. Instead, an election management committee will be formed by including leaders of all the alliance parties. It will have representatives from BJP, JDU, LJP (Ram Vilas), Jitan Ram Manjhi's HAM and Upendra Kushwaha's RLM. This step is being taken to further strengthen the coordination and trust within the alliance.
