UP Scholarship 2025-26: UP Scholarship Online Form, Eligibility, Application Process and Complete Information

UP Scholarship 2025-26 is an ambitious scheme given to the students by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, which aims to promote education and help the economically weaker students in their studies. This scheme benefits lakhs of students every year. The UP government provides this scholarship to students of 9th, 10th (Pre-Matric), 11th, 12th (Post-Matric), Graduation, Post Graduate, Diploma, ITI and PhD level.

Students can get financial assistance as per their eligibility by filling UP Scholarship 2025-26 Online Form. The scholarship amount is sent directly to the bank account of the students through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

The government has announced the dates of scholarship registration and application for the academic session 2025-26. The last dates for application for different classes are as follows:

🔹 Eligibility for UP Scholarship 2025-26

• The student must be a native of Uttar Pradesh.

• It is mandatory to be currently registered in a recognized school/college/institute.

• Class 9 and 10 – Eligible for pre-matric scholarship.

• Class 11 & 12 – Eligible for Post-Matric Inter Scholarship.

• UG, PG, Diploma, ITI, PhD – Eligible for Post-Matric (other courses).

• Passing the previous year exam is a must.

• Student’s Aadhaar card must be linked to the bank account.

Income Limit:

• For SC/ST students: ₹2.5 lakh per annum

• For OBC/General/Minority students: ₹2 lakh per annum

🔹 UP Scholarship 2025-26 Application Process (How to Apply)

OTR (One Time Registration) has been made mandatory from session 2025-26.

Step 1: OTR (One Time Registration)

• Mobile Number Authentication

• Aadhaar e-KYC

• OTR Number Generation

⚠️ Only one OTR number will be given to every student. If more than one OTR is found, the scholarship can be cancelled.

Step 2: Registration

After completing the OTR, students can register by entering name, father's name, college and mobile number on https://scholarship.up.gov.in/. After successful registration, a registration number will be received.

Step 3: Filling the application form

• Fill all the required details - like caste certificate, income certificate, bank details, Aadhaar number etc.

• Fill the form carefully as any mistake may lead to the cancellation of the application.

Step 4: Verification by the Institute

The application form will be subjected to biometric authentication and verification by the concerned institute.

Step 5: Verification by the District Committee

The application forms will be verified by the District Scholarship Committee.
Students can check their status on the portal (Approved/Rejected).

Step 6: Fund Disbursement

After final approval the amount will be directly transferred to the Aadhaar linked bank account through DBT.

🔹 UP Scholarship 2025-26 Scholarship Amount

The amount of scholarship depends on the student’s class and the type of student (Day Scholar or Hosteller):

Pre-Matric (Class 9–10):

• Day Scholar – Approx ₹3,000 per annum

• Hosteller – ₹7,000–₹8,000 per annum

Post-Matric (11–12):

• Day Scholar – ₹7,000–₹10,000 per annum

• Hosteller – ₹12,000–₹15,000 per annum

UG/PG/Other Courses:

• Day Scholar – ₹10,000–₹20,000 per annum

• Hosteller – ₹15,000–₹25,000 per annum
